The Beginning

Founded in a rural Pennsylvania barn, Zero Restriction was born from one golfer’s frustration with rain gear that limited movement. Using outdoor-grade materials, he created the first “Guaranteed Waterproof for Life” jacket that allowed a full golf swing, setting a new standard in performance outerwear.

The Breakthrough

Zero Restriction became a fixture on professional tours, earning legendary status when Payne Stewart cut the sleeves off his ZR jacket at the 1999 U.S. Open. That moment unintentionally created the iconic half-sleeve category and symbolized true freedom of motion.

The Recognition

Continuing its tradition of outfitting champions, Zero Restriction became the Official Outerwear Sponsor for Team USA at the Solheim Cup. The brand’s commitment to advanced performance design and craftsmanship solidified its reputation on the global stage.
